Dr. Shawn Garlington has worked in the medical field for over 25 years in various areas of nursing. She earned her PMHNP degree at the University of Cincinnati. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing in Family Medicine at South University. She focuses on the patient and works with other resources in the community to give you a treatment plan that can work long-term to help support your health goals.

As a Penn State Alum (Class of ’06) “stuck in Buckeye Country,” I have grown to love The Ohio State community! I have worked the majority of my nursing career at The James Cancer Hospital in ENT/ Neuro before earning a Masters’ degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, ANCC Board Certified. I plan to continue providing patients with a holistic approach to their physical and mental health to ultimately achieve their health/ wellness goals, while working towards prevention of chronic illnesses.

He has been a critical care physician for decades at Ohio Health and emergency rooms across the Midwest, California, and Arizona, I've served thousands of patients before becoming a medical director at Ohio Health.
